Join the Students 4 Sustainability

The Students 4 Sustainability (S4S) empowers students to make sustainable changes in their lives through campus projects, local community efforts, and peer education.

The organization is open to any current CCC student who has an interest in sustainability and the environment. S4S members have the ability to participate in projects they find interesting, but past projects have included highway cleanups, homemade ornament sales, pollinator garden planting, and creating sustainability projects to showcase at the Nebraska State Fair.

Seed Sales

Our sustainability staff would like to extend you the opportunity to learn more about and grow native pollinating plants. We will be sharing our knowledge and opening our seed bank to collect donations for future S4S projects. All seed packets are ONLY $1 and contain approximately 30 seeds collected from our gardens. There are around 40 varieties of seeds available. Varieties include, but aren't limited to: Pasque Flower, Prairie Petunia, Pitcher Sage, Coneflowers, and Butterfly Milkweed!

(From left to right is Pitcher Sage, Bluestar, Wild Indigo, Coneflower and Blazing Star)

Don't see the variety you had your heart set on? Please contact William Gordon williamgordon@zi63.com or Hannah Jenkins hannah59447@zi63.com for seed orders and additional information.

Join our next meeting to learn more about the club and share your ideas for club projects for the year:

The next meeting will be held on Feb. 29, 2024, at 3:30 p.m. via WebEx. If you would like to be on our mailing list for updates, please fill out the contact information below.
